Computer Telephony Integration increases user productivity

CTI (Computer Telephony Integration) technology links your telephone and computer systems for greater productivity benefits. Information held on the computer system can then be used to make or receive phone calls. Strata CTX can offer CTI for individual users or across an entire computer network for a complete CTI solution.

Desktop CTI: a USB communications port fitted to an individual user's phone allows them to link their computer to the Strata CTX system. When a call is received from someone logged on the computer's address book, the name and number of the caller is presented to the user on screen. The user can also use their address book for making outgoing calls. Net Phone for Strata CTX is a software package that offers desk top CTI functionality. Dialling, answering, transferring, and placing on hold can all be managed on screen. For workers receiving and making a lot of calls, such as telesales staff, individual CTI can considerably increase their productivity.System CTI: the Strata CTX system can be linked to a computer system to facilitate information sharing between the telephone system and computer system over a LAN (local area network). This allows users to identify, control and transfer calls using their computer.

Using CLI (caller line identity) information, users can configure the system to handle calls from specific callers differently from routine calls, so the boss can always get through, while other calls go to voice mail for example.Caller ID, automated dialling, automated call routing and other CTI applications are all possible using the versatile Strata CTX with your computer system.CTI technology can also be used with a call centre operation to greatly increase agent efficiency and productivity.
