TV / Satellite Distribution Systems Case Studies

Royal Victoria Hospital
	MGA was awarded the contract for significant elements of various communication systems at the new hospital. The TV Distribution system comprising 2 elements to allow for free viewing for TV's in Public areas etc. A second distribution system was to allow for integration into a private vendor's system as part of a pay per view system. In view of the nature of the Building, it was vital that high quality channelised amplifiers were used throughout to ensure system levels at all major system node were within CAI guidelines. Careful design of cable structure and positioning of equipment components provided the client with qualitative signals throughout.

Housing Associations
	The company has completed a large number of integrated TV / Satellite Distribution systems reflecting the constantly changing TV transmission technology within the UK. The company has completed a number of TV distribution schemes for a variety of Housing associations within Northern Ireland. A contract for the Oaklee Housing provided for simultaneous reception of terrestrial analogue and digital transmissions with digital satellite signals, to varying sizes of distribution networks to multiple outlets. These schemes can vary in size from about 10 outlets to 250 outlets.

Hilton
	The company was privileged to be awarded the contract for the Belfast Hilton Hotel. This system comprised all the necessary state-of-the-art TV reception and distribution equipment necessary to deliver high quality TV and Satellite signals to approximately 250 outlets within the hotel. The transmission equipment was selected to allow the client to change received channels of choice as necessary. The system also integrated a pay-per-view system for simultaneous broadcast on a common cable structure.

Ramada
	This system was similar in size to the Hilton Hotel and employed a different distribution structure reflecting the layout of this building The company also undertook comprehensive sound reinforcement systems throughout this hotel. MGA is presently undertaking a similar scheme for this client elsewhere in Belfast.
